Johnny Knoxville, I would hope, should get a big percentage of the profits for Paramount as the writer, producer and star of the relatively cheap Jackass franchise. Knoxville is able to go where Sacha Baron Cohen no longer can in this big-screen Candid Camera movie.
The Counselor is directed by Ridley Scott, written by Cormac McCarthy, and stars Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, but the studio had a review embargo until the day before, treatment usually reserved for movies like Deuce Bigalow.
12 Years a Slave is staying strong in limited release.
